DAY 1 We head to Dover this morning, where we board the ferry for the crossing to Calais. We then continue our journey to Paris, with comfort stops en route, and board our ‘floating hotel’ at its mooring point near the Eiffel Tower. After comfortably settling into your cabin, the ship‘s crew will be introduced to you at a welcome cocktail reception. Enjoy a traditional evening of entertainment with a “Titi Parisien” theme. We set sail during the night.
DAY 2 This morning will be spent cruising towards Les Andelys, giving you time to enjoy the magnificent view of the Roche Guyon. Join us on an excursion to the 15th century Château de Martainville, where you will learn about 500 years of rural Normandy history, discover Norman traditions and explore the objects of everyday life in the region. We then return to our ship and continue cruising towards Honfleur.
DAY 3 Today we arrive in Honfleur, located at the mouth of the River Seine as it flows into the English Channel. Here we will have a guided walking tour of this small port, starting at the Vieux Bassin, one of the most charming sites in the city, and finishing with a visit to Saint Léonard Church to discover its history. This afternoon, we venture along the Côte d’Albâtre by coach before stopping for a stroll between cliffs and villages.
DAY 4 This morning will be spent cruising towards Rouen. In the afternoon we take a guided tour on foot of Rouen – the historic centre of the city and its famous cathedral are only a 5 minute walk from the ship. Tonight is our gala dinner and evening, and the ship will cruise through the night, heading back towards Paris.
DAY 5 This morning will be spent sailing towards Paris along the banks of the Seine which have been beautifully landscaped. We’ll cruise past the impressive concrete and glass buildings of the futuristic business district of La Défense, reaching Paris in the early afternoon. We will then experience a panoramic tour through Paris by coach, taking in the city’s highlights before returning to the ship at Quai de Grenelle. Tonight we set out for a cruise through Paris by night (water level permitting) whilst enjoying dinner on board.
DAY 6 We disembark after breakfast, board our coach and head back to the port at Calais for our ferry crossing. Once back in the UK, we aim to arrive back home in the early evening.
